We are now accepting applications from Columbia undergraduates interesting in joining the editorial board as editors and/or as the journal's treasurer. Guidelines are listed below. Students of all years and majors are welcome to apply.

To apply to join the editorial board, please send an email to cujh@columbia.edu with the following items:

1) Name, College, and class year

2) major or concentration

3) History courses taken

4) other activities you are involved in

5) short (4-5 sentences) explanation about why you would like to join the CUJH

6) short (5 pg.) writing sample-- we encourage, but do not require, that this be from a history class

To apply for the position of treasurer, please send an email to cujh@columbia.edu with the following:

1) Name, College, and class year

2) major or concentration

3) other activities you're involved in

4) short (4-5 sentences) explanation about why this position interests you and what you hope to get out of it

5) brief summary of your qualifications and experience with managing a budget and fundraising

6) short (5 pg.) writing sample

Spring 2011 Nominations

CUJH is currently soliciting nominations for its Spring 2011 issue. All submissions are due by February 1st, 2011. Please see below for guidelines:

Submission Guidelines:

All articles submitted to the Columbia Undergraduate Journal of History must be nominated by a professor at an accredited university or college. Teaching assistants may also nominate papers, but should receive approval from the course professor.

The nominating professor certifies that the nominated article represents outstanding undergraduate scholarship. To nominate an article, the professor must send an email to cujh@columbia.edu, including:

-the name and position of the nominating professor
-the the institution in which the undergraduate is enrolled
-the class for which the paper was written
-the title of the nominated article
